How a medicine page is written
A page starts with one labelled tablet strength. Numbers come from DailyMed or the current US prescribing information. The published file is dated.
The milligram in the title
CIALIS film-coated tablets for once daily use are 2.5 mg and 5 mg. The as-needed tablets are 10 mg and 20 mg. This site's tadalafil brief opens on 2.5 mg once daily. The starting dose for once daily use on that label is 2.5 mg, taken at approximately the same time every day. The dose may be increased to 5 mg, based on individual efficacy and tolerability.
DailyMed
DailyMed is the U.S. National Library of Medicine repository for labeling. When those two files disagree, the page keeps the DailyMed wording until a later revision date is written on the page. The tadalafil DailyMed file also states store at 25 C (77 F), with excursions permitted to 15-30 C (59-86 F).
Review before publish
Dr. Camille Rousseau reads the draft. Her name stays on the page. She is not the reader’s prescriber and she does not answer personal medical questions by email.
After a label change
Write [email protected] with the URL and the figure that looks stale. The page can be corrected. Email still will not set a personal dose.
